Christchurch based Bright Hope World, is committed to helping those living in extreme poverty, who earn less than $1 a day. They do this by focusing on Sustainable Development, Christian Community, and Relief In Crisis. Café Agora also partners with Bright Hope World through supporting La Mai Coffee and Rahab Ministries.

Integrated Tribal Development Program

The Integrated Tribal Development Program, (ITDP) was founded in 1991 by Mike and Becky Mann with its initial goal of providing fresh water and sanitation to the Hillribes in North Thailand. 

Over the years, ITDP has grown and branched out from its original goal and now has several different projects providing a variety of resources to the Hilltribes of Northern Thailand.

La Mai Coffee (Thailand Arabica)

Every cup of La Mai Coffee is making a difference. La Mai is an organic, fairly traded coffee that is bringing hope to the people of Northern Thailand. Lamai beans are then shipped directly to New Zealand and roasted with care in small batches.  You can purchase La Mai Coffee in both 1kg and 200g take home packs. Buy it as whole beans, or freshly ground, with wholesale profits going back to Thailand to fight child prostitution.

City Bible Church is a community of Jesus followers who meet at Agora in the heart of Frankton, Hamilton.

This central Hawkes Bay church is all about community.  Reaching out to it's local community and inviting people into it's own community.  They take Jesus' call to care for the needy seriously, as they seek to make a difference amongst young and old in the surrounding area.  Thailand is just expanding their local into global.

Summit Church (previously known as BotanyLife Community Church) began in 2004 with a group of people who wanted to connect a vibrant faith in Jesus Christ with a compassionate concern for the Botany community. Their mission is to passionately love God and to purposefully love others.

Cafe Agora (Hamilton, NZ)

Café Agora and Agora Events, are owned and operated by Agora Community Trust. Agora was established by the community of City Bible Church in 2008, as an expression of their faith in Jesus.  It provided the opportunity to extend compassion to people in need while being a significant contributor to their local community. In the words of Jesus, it’s a way to “love your neighbour as you love yourself”.

The Fortitude Gym is a family owned and operated hub for martial arts in Wairarapa led by professional fighter, Zane ‘Hybrid’ Hopman, and his wife Chloe Hopman.
